This variety has huge bulbs that have 12 large cloves or more. Said to be one of the best garlic for roasted garlic. It has a very mild, creamy flavour.
The advantage to bulbils are that you can bulk up garlic at a cheaper price than purchasing garlic bulbs.
Bulbils can be planted in the spring. That fall, dig up your bulbils in August, cure them & replant your best looking ones when you would normally plant garlic - in October or November. The following year they should produce "rounds" by the end of summer. Do the same for these as you did the first year. In year 3 your harvest should result in a small bulb. Split the bulb & replant to keep going with your own garlic stock.
